Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!! The time and care it took to make this set is quite clear when you receive it. The puzzle is durable and pleasant to look it, actually it begs to be looked at! All of my kids love putting it together. What gets me, is the videos that Nathan and Teresa put together. They put the puzzle in a new light by giving you ideas on how to teach your child about the plant. Amazing. The models have been very helpful for my 4 year old who doesn’t quite know the order in which things grow. Our favorite (like Nathan!) is for sure the goodie bag. We love looking at things up close and the items here are unique. My daughter knew right away that the two pine cones were different, I love the opportunities provided by these amazing boxes. We are still in the process of growing and experimenting, which is super fun. This box is a must have.

The way things grow is a such a feel-good lesson with kids, and this box helps you to not only cover all the basics but to introduce very scientific lessons with young children. My three-year-old learned so much from our observation experiment with seeds (one with no water, one with no air, one with no light) and would run to our little “classroom” each morning to check her seeds and “note” her findings with a picture on her chart. I love how Montessori directs you to show the child the real plant and roots and then to bring that lesson inside with the puzzle and the planting activities. The mystery bag is so fun, and after we had played the game a few times, we laid out all the objects from nature on a mat, with the magnifying glass, and have since added our own objects to make a nature table.

I was skeptical of a subscription like this but now that we’ve received our first box I’m totally sold! Having spent the money on it, it forces me to use the material. And the videos are super helpful for a visual person like me. We received our box yesterday and we started using our materials today. We planted a seedling I’d been procrasting on and discussed it’s parts and what a plant needs to live. We also discussed living vs non-living which prompted interesting questions like “is the slide living?”. Then we came inside and reviewed with the plant model and started a bean seed as Nathan suggested in the video. It’s taped to our window now. This discussion wouldn’t have happened if not for “the box”. I’m already excited for next month. Thank you for a great product and business!

I also wanted to say that the videos are well done, clean, clear and easy to hear. Nathan and Teresa talk clearly and slowly enough that we can take notes while watching even. There isn’t a bunch of fluff in the background to distract from either.

I purchased this box for my 3 year old. I was a little concerned that the items might be a little cheap and not made very well. THIS IS NOT THE CASE!! Everything is made very well! Lesson videos are professional and clear.. Even giving direction in other areas to work with your little before starting some lessons. Great building block to learning and teaching your little one. This is a box that we will be able to use for many years to come and that my friend makes me happy with the cost. If your on the fence about buying this box, I say jump you won’t be disappointed!
