Kings, Queens, & Castles

The activities in the Kings, Queens & Castles Toolbox were inspired by Europe of the past: its art, culture, and technology.

Activities include stained glass, tapestry weaving & sewing, family crest sorting, the Montessori horse puzzle, and our simple machines kit!

Montessori Horse Puzzle

Since the presentation for all Montessori puzzles are the same, we’ve included the video from our Shoots and Sprouts Toolbox. For introducing the live animal, we recommend visiting a ranch or farm. You will also need to know the parts of the horse. They are: head, mane, neck, body, forelegs, hind legs, and tail.

The Bayeux Tapestry

This tapestry is over 70 meters (230 ft) long and 50 centimeters (20 in) tall! It depicts the events leading up to the Norman conquest of England with 50 difference scenes. You can see more information on Wikipedia
