What is the best age for Montessori By Mom?
Currently, our subscription service is best for kids aged 3-5.
What comes with a subscription?
Each month, we will send you the Toolbox of the month, which contains everything necessary for hours and hours of Montessori inspired activities that follow a theme to engage the imagination. Most Toolboxes contain authentic Montessori materials of the highest quality. All the curriculum and materials are curated by experienced, AMS accredited Montessori teachers. We provide online video instructions to explain the how and why of each activity. You don’t have to be a Montessori expert to provide a high quality Montessori education for your children.
What kind of quality can I expect?
Our company was started by two teachers to fill a need for parents. Our goal is to provide materials of the highest quality, but also to provide the most “bang for your buck.” It is not easy, but we try to balance great quality with the best value.
Can I select the Toolbox?
This option is not available to subscriptions, but you can buy an individual Toolbox through our Montessori Store.
Do I need more than one Toolbox for multiple kids & would I get a multi-box discount?
Often, one child likes to do what their siblings are doing. In that case, you may need more than one Toolbox so they can use the same activity at the same time. We are looking into ways to offer a multi-box discount, but currently it is not available.
Are all the materials safe?
Any Montessori activity should be supervised by parents. The materials we provide are safe when used properly. These materials are not toys to distract your child, but materials for parents to use for their education.
How much is shipping?
In the US shipping is FREE. We charge a little extra for shipping to Canada and internationally.
What shipping service do you use?
We ship everything with USPS.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do! We intended only to ship in the US, but because of so many international requests, we added international shipping.
Can I get all the materials at once or every six months?
Your subscriptions includes a Toolbox each month, but you can purchase previous Toolboxes from our Montessori Store.
Can I cancel anytime?
If you have a monthly subscription, you can cancel anytime. If you get a 6 month or year subscription, we offer a 14 day no questions asked refund.
When will my Toolbox arrive?
We ship out our Toolboxes around the 5th to 10th of each month.
Can you rush a Toolbox for a specific date?
Sorry, but we cannot accommodate custom shipping requests for our subscription, but you can order individual Toolboxes from our store.
What if there is a problem with my Toolbox?
This normally does not happen, but if anything comes damaged or missing, let us know ([email protected]) and we will fix the problem right away.
How can I give a subscription as a gift?
It’s easy, just select “Join” and then “Give a Subscription.”
Can you gift-wrap it?
We are unable to offer gift wrapping yet, but this option is coming soon! We will include your message on a nice card.
Can I have the first Toolbox delivered to a different address?
We would be happy to help! When you order, you can select a different delivery address. If you have any doubt, send us an email to let us know [email protected].
Do your materials follow the development of each child?
Initially, our materials are directed to a broader age range. As our business grows, we hope to make the resources specific and offer more options for parents to customize their subscriptions. Since our materials are meant to be a resource for parents, it will be up to them to use the materials in a way that is appropriate for their child. Our instructional videos will also cover the various ways they can use the materials depending on the development of their child.
Do you provide a full curriculum?
Our subscription is meant to be used as a resource, and not a full curriculum. We hope it will save parents time and money, but we don’t expect a few activities a month to provide a complete Montessori experience for your child.
